WK28: Day 7 - Goodbye 28, Hello 29!

Goodbye 28!
Hello 29!

Thank you Tash, Jackson and Hamish for these inspirational weekly pics! They never fail to put a massive smile on my face.

Another week behind me and I’m feeling ready to take on number 29. My contractions have almost completely settled down so I’m left wondering what is going on and when my boys might come. It’s hard not having any idea but I’m trying to stay as relaxed about it as possible. Obviously the longer I can keep them cooking the better! Stats of 30-32 week babies are hugely increased and their time in NICU greatly decreased. Keep your fingers crossed.

Thank you for all the encouraging comments, I’m sorry I haven't been answering them individually, it’s a bit of a struggle now.

  2. hi emma, ive been following your blog and meaning to get in touch for a while. i work with a friend of yours-and you have become the topic of much office conversation! we are all full of wonder and very excited about what is ahead for you...its quite a journey you are on.
its been great to be able to follow your pregnancy-for some reason i felt quite emotional reading your last entry. your bump is looking truly startling! i showed my 10year old who just said 'flip!'
i have twins and have a similar sequence of growing bump shots, but nothing to compare to yours!
i had my twins when my oldest son was 2, almost 3 -perhaps similar to luke? i remember feeling anxious all through the pregnancy about how my adored and indulged little boy would ever cope with 2 babies, but he loved it. i think he was ready for more independence anyway and found it all a great adventure! (was probably a relief to get some space from his doting parents..)
so my twins (boy, girl) are 7 now and i still feel amazed and blessed , like its the cleverest thing ive ever done...so can only imagine how you must feel-you are amazing!
im very much keeping you in mind and sending good wishes
    hang in there!
    love, lisa x

  4. Woohoo, congratulations on reaching week 29! I've been following your blog since I saw a link to it on Mumsnet. It's a fascinating read and I'm so looking forward to seeing the first photos of your amazing baby boys :) Hopefully not until 30-something weeks gestation of course! Best of luck with it all :)

  9. Great news! Here's hoping that week 29 becomes week 30 and gives your boys more time to cook before joining the big wide world! Thinking of you all,
    Love Nona x
